Prototyping for Start-ups at Singularity
Every year, Singularity hosted a cohort of start-up founders looking to develop their business plan and product ideas. My role was to help them create assets they could use to describe, demonstrate, and communicate their ideas as they began to approach potential investors. This could come in the form of marketing materials, tools for testing, or interactive prototypes (physical and digital) depending on where the teams were in the process.
Here’s a selection of that work including logo design and UI/UX concepts in this case. I used Adobe Illustrator, Framer, and Balsamiq to work with the teams to create professional looking mock-ups that would help them better communicate, test, and sell their ideas.
The Process
Many of the groups I worked with were business, engineering, healthcare, or other non-technical or design focused professionals so a large part of the work involved helping them think through the interactions, users, and functionality of their products.
I would often start by helping flesh out target market, identifying work flow, and crafting test plans to get feedback and iteratively build out their ideas.
